Description 
226 Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 is a black polyethylene film laminated over saturated crepe paper that has excellent resistance against a wide range of damaging chemicals. The polyethylene backing is resistant to many solvents, water solutions and emulsions and paint strippers of the wax-base type and the mild caustic solution solvent-emulsion type.
2040 Delivers excellent, conformable adhesion with high holding power. A strong backing reduces tearing. Use with most solvent-based and lacquer coatings to produce an excellent tape line. Individually shrinked wrapped rolls.

Provides excellent adhesion to most surfaces and provides high holding power. Works well with most solvent-based and lacquer coatings. Ideal for use in cool temperatures. Reduces tearing with the strong tape backing. Conforms well to most surfaces, which produces and excellent paint line. DO NOT USE: On easily damaged surfaces, such as: wall paper, wallboard, ceiling tile, uncured coatings or other delicate surfaces. Not for extended outdoor use.
