3M ™ Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape 06395 uses OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) approved acrylic foam core and adhesive technology and is designed for more demanding applications. 06395 is characterized by good peel and shear adhesion to most automotive surfaces, with good internal strength and high conformability. Application uses are attachment of rocker panel moldings, large claddings, spoilers, wheel flares and bug deflectors. 3M™ Adhesion Promoter 06396 is recommended for use in conjunction of Automotive Attachment Tape 06395 for optimum tape-to-part adhesion on parts made of plastic materials such as TPO, PPO, PP, Pc, PC + ABS, etc.

3M™ Automotive Adhesion Promoter, Sponge Applicator Packet


3M™ Adhesion Promoter 06396 is specifically formulated to be used with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape for automotive applications. 06396 is often used with low-surface energy plastics such as TPO, PPO, PP, PC, PC + ABS, etc.). Since formulations and surface energies can vary for these types of materials, each application should be verified through testing. 06396 is supplied in an easy-to-use sponge applicator packet. The liquid contents of the packet should be completely used as soon as possible after opening. Apply promoter only to the areas that will be fully covered with tape. 3M™ Automotive Acrylic Foam Attachment Tape 06378 is characterized by good peel and shear adhesion, good internal strength, good conformability and good plasticizer resistance. Typical applications would include the attachment of lightweight vehicle nameplates and trim, including narrow and light body side moldings. Part number 06378 is not recommended for medium- to heavy-weight trim attachment. 3M recommends tape part numbers 06380, 06381, 06382, 06384, 06386 or 06397 for more demanding applications.
