It has a pH balance between 7.0 and 8.5 so it won't discolor and damage papers, photographs and other acid-sensitive materials.

An Acid Free Adhesive Scotch® ATG Adhesive Transfer Tape Acid Free 908 offers a good balance of high initial adhesion and shear holding power combined with good chemical and UV resistance. The formulation of our acid free 3M™ Adhesive 320AF provides a consistently strong bond across a range of Temperatures, up to 180 ºF/82 ºC. Best of all this adhesive has a pH balance between 7.0 and 8.5 so it won't discolor and damage Papers, photographs and other acid-sensitive materials. It is photo safe in accordance with both black and white color photography activity tests (per ANSI IT9.16). Reverse wound on a unique 1 inch core designed for use with a Scotch® ATG Applicator.
