This tape is recommended for heavy box sealing (weighing up to 100 lbs.) and other demanding packaging applications. A Tough Tape that is also Environmentally Friendly Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 351 features a biaxially oriented polyester backing with pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber hot melt adhesive. It features high edge tear and split resistance and complies with environmental considerations of ASTM D1974-92. Developed to Help Ensure that Packages Arrive Intact Heavy-duty sealing tape, also known as packing tape or adhesive tape, is designed to securely seal heavy weight or over-packed cartons and packages for shipping and handling. The tape's high strength combined with its quick stick and resistance to splitting or tearing makes it popular for overseas and export shipping. |
This tape is particularly resistant to splitting along seam or score lines. Our tape is suitable for use on single- and double-walled corrugated boxes weighing up to 100 lbs., including those with high recycled content. High Performance Combined with Superior Strength To ensure Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 355 would stand up to demanding packaging applications, our design engineers combined a thick biaxially oriented polyester backing with a hot melt synthetic rubber resin adhesive to create a tape with high adhesion, tensile strength and elongation at break.
