High performance. Polypropylene backing reinforced with continuous glass yarn. Typical 380 lb/inch width tensile strength. High shear adhesion for low unit cost, heavy-duty closure of hard-to-adhere or high recycled content fiberboard.
Polypropylene backing is easy to handle and dispense and provides excellent resistance to nicks, abrasion and moisture. Specially formulated hot melt adhesive bonds with exceptional balance of adhesion properties to fiberboard surfaces.Applications:- Good initial adhesion, high shear strength, and excellent aging on critical applications involving difficult-to-adhere fiberboard or fiberboard with high recycled content.- Low unwind levels for easy use with manual dispensers, the Scotch® L-Clip Dispenser S634, or the 3M-Matic™ L-Clip Applicator S857.- Can be custom printed using the Print Seal™ process. Typical Physical Properties:- Low 3% elongation at break to help keep bundles tight.- 70 oz/inch adhesion to steel. - Bar codes, type and graphics show through translucent backing.- Standard widths: 9, 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48 mm
