High performance. Black polypropylene backing reinforced with continuous glass filaments. Typical 300 lb/inch width tensile strength. Good initial and long-term adhesion; high shear strength. Black backing protects tape from UV rays.
Polypropylene backing is easy to handle and dispense. Provides excellent resistance to abrasion and moisture. Specially formulated hot melt adhesive holds instantly with rubdown. Bonds with good initial and long-term adhesion and high shear strength. Applications: Low unit cost bundling of metal conduit and pipe, tubes, rigid and flexible plastic pipe. Holding last lap of large rolls of paper or metal stored outdoors. Typical Physical Properties:- Low 4.5% elongation at break to help keep bundles tight.- 55 oz/inch adhesion to steel.- Black backing protects tape against sunlight and ultraviolet rays for good outdoor weathering.- Standard width: 18 mm
